About
Roosevelt Dimes were issued from 1946 to present. The series ranks as the longest running circulating coin series that uses the same obverse and reverse design as the original. Although there have been some proposals to redesign the denomination, none have succeeded. The original depiction of Franklin D. Roosevelt on the obverse with a lit torch, olive branch, and oak branch on the reverse remains in use.
This site will provide an overview of the series, with some information about the specifications, mintages, and special attributions. Details of some of the more notable coins of the series are also included.
